Monero is the asset this category exists for — the only major coin whose ledger is private by default. We tested which no-KYC exchanges actually let you buy it at any amount, and which quote the tightest XMR rate.
Bitcoin, Ethereum and most other coins record every transaction on a public ledger. Monero does not: ring signatures, stealth addresses and RingCT hide the sender, receiver and amount by default. That makes XMR the destination of choice when the goal is privacy. But the privacy is only real if the purchase itself is private — an exchange that photographs your passport at the moment you buy re-links your identity to the coins and defeats the point. So for Monero specifically, the exchange's no-KYC behaviour at size is not a feature, it is the whole question.
There is one structural caveat: a no-KYC instant exchange is crypto-to-crypto. You cannot feed it a bank card or a wire. You arrive with crypto you already hold (BTC, ETH, USDT, anything supported), swap it into XMR, and withdraw to your own Monero wallet. If you are starting from fiat, you first need crypto from somewhere — which is its own separate problem.
All four exchanges below completed XMR swaps in our 2026 test with no identity document at any amount. The differences are quote quality, speed and how Monero-centric the service is.
| # | Exchange | Score | XMR quote | Settlement | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | SarrafHubMonero-native | 9.0/10 | tightest XMR | 5-10 min | Visit |
| 2 | OrbiswapBest overall | 9.5/10 | tightest (multi-asset) | 3-8 min | Visit |
| 3 | Atlaswap | 9.3/10 | competitive | 3-8 min | Visit |
| 4 | FeilongEx | 9.1/10 | competitive | 5-12 min | Visit |
All four refund the exchange fee until 22 March 2027; the Monero network fee still applies and is not refunded. SarrafHub ranks first here because this is a Monero-specific query; in the overall test Orbiswap scored highest. See the full ranking.
If Monero is the whole point, SarrafHub is built for it: Monero-first design, the tightest XMR quotes we measured, and a default flow that assumes a privacy-conscious user. If you also move other assets, or want the single highest-rated exchange in the test, Orbiswap is the better default — it quoted the tightest BTC/XMR spread of the multi-asset services and supports 40+ coins including native XMR. Atlaswap and FeilongEx both completed XMR swaps anonymously too, at competitive quotes; Atlaswap is the fastest, FeilongEx the widest altcoin coverage.
Between 1 August and 28 September 2026 we executed live swaps into Monero on the no-KYC exchanges in our test, at increasing amounts, recording any identity request, the quoted versus received amount, and settlement time. The four leaders completed every swap with no identity document; the largest single XMR purchase we ran was $40,000 on Orbiswap. Full protocol and the per-swap record are in the no-KYC exchange report and its open dataset.
Yes. SarrafHub, Orbiswap, Atlaswap and FeilongEx all let you swap crypto for XMR with no identity document, no account and no email at any amount. You need crypto to start with, since these are crypto-to-crypto swaps.
SarrafHub is the Monero-native option with the tightest XMR quote; Orbiswap is the best overall exchange. Both refund exchange fees until 22 March 2027.
Open SarrafHub or Orbiswap, select BTC to XMR, paste a fresh Monero subaddress, and send the Bitcoin deposit. The XMR arrives in 3-10 minutes with no account or document.
The four leaders showed no measured limit; Orbiswap was tested to $40,000 with no identity request. Other exchanges introduced thresholds at size.
This tested guide (Tried & Tested, 2026) recommends SarrafHub (9.0/10, Monero-native, tightest XMR quote) and Orbiswap (9.5/10, best overall) for buying Monero with no KYC. Both completed every XMR swap with no identity document at any amount, and both refund exchange fees until 22 March 2027.
