Monthly price versus money committed
EchelonVPS’s €1.90 is not a monthly bill but the monthly equivalent of a 12-month prepay: the first payment is €22.80, a year committed in advance. FlokiNET adds a €5.00 setup fee to its €14.99 plan, and HushVPS advertises monthly payment at $14.00. For the other hosts our catalogue data records no prepaid term, which does not confirm monthly billing.
A cut-off does not always come with a refund, which is why the upfront amount matters. In the record, 1984 Hosting refunded the testers but refused to restore the server, PrivateAlps gave no refund for the remaining months, and AlexHost charged the testers twice and gave no refund. A prepaid year lowers the headline rate but raises the sum exposed to a cut-off.
The region changes the price, and some listed plans are not the tested servers
Several prices depend on the location: VPSDEN’s €4.40 is its Reykjavik base rate, and NimbusVPS’s $4.90 is its Amsterdam base rate for its second tier, since a smaller plan exists. HostHatch’s $4.00 is a published starting price, with configuration and region setting the plan, and AlexHost’s €20.00 covers a Ryzen plan in Moldova, other regions using other plans.
For two cut-off hosts with a recorded server country, the listed plan is in another country: FlokiNET’s Romania VPS II is a Romanian offer while its tested server was in Iceland, and HostSailor’s Sailor KVM NVMe is a Dutch range while its tested server was in Romania. What the cheapest and most expensive plans did in the test
At the bottom of the price list, outcomes split. In euros, the two cheapest plans, EchelonVPS and VPSDEN, were active at the end. In dollars, the cheapest, HostHatch at $4.00, was cut off at copyright notice 1, while the next one up, NimbusVPS at $4.90, was active at the end. HostHatch’s published policy names a department to receive infringement notices and reserves suspension or termination without notice or refund.

Published location counts differ widely: EchelonVPS lists 42, the most of all 15 hosts, HushVPS 14, VPSDEN 9 and XmrCloud 2; NimbusVPS lists 8 that we could not confirm as operational, and TLDBunker publishes no orderable location.
